Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, humming, or other sounds from either one ear or both ears.

Why do I have Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is most commonly a symptom of hearing loss. However, there are approximately 200 other health disorders for which tinnitus is also a symptom. Some medications can even cause or exacerbate tinnitus.
(Do NOT stop taking any medications without talking to you prescribing physician first.)

Is there a cure?

Unfortunately, there currently is no cure for tinnitus. But there are ways of managing and treating tinnitus such as sound enrichment and amplification.

As an individual who has tinnitus, our Audiologist Karin Lockridge, is uniquely qualified to help you manage and treat you tinnitus with sound enrichment and amplification.

Where can I get more information?

You can read more on Tinnitus from the American Tinnitus Association website.
